The 1st #Starlink Group 3 mission lifted off from Vandenberg at 6:39:40pm July 10, 2022, delivering 46 satellites to a near-polar, sun-synchronous orbit. The shells are not being populated in order, as Group 2 has seen only 1 launch but Group 4 is more than halfway done at 19 launches.

SpaceX’s team at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California launched a Falcon 9 rocket Sunday with 46 more Starlink internet spacecraft, a mission to begin populating a new polar-orbiting “shell” in the satellite constellation. Liftoff from the foggy West Coast spaceport occurred at 6:39 p.m. PDT ( 0139 GMT), and the booster landed on a drone ship in the Pacific Ocean.
