With a large grassy area by the beach and some basic facilities, Uttakleiv is a popular spot to camp. Note that there is a fee, comparable to a standard campground.
Nearby is Haukland Beach and the trailheads for Mannen and Himmeltinden. It’s possible to walk along an old coastal road to Haukland. The trip is 4 kilometers and takes about an hour, one-way.
